Malvern College Switzerland

Malvern College’s seventh international campus, Malvern College Switzerland, opened its doors to pupils in September 2021.

Based in Leysin in the Vaud Alpes, the campus is situated in a picturesque location at the east end of Lake Geneva. It boasts spectacular alpine views across the Rhône Valley towards the Dents du Midi, with year-round mountain sports and recreational facilities.

MCS pupils receive a bespoke international education based on the British Curriculum, including a pre-ICGSE course leading to IGCSE and A Level qualifications.

Subjects offered at the school include Art, Computing, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, English, French, Geography, German, History, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology and Spanish.

The MCS campus is ideally situated for winter and summer sports enthusiasts, with mountain lifts a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk away. Winter sports available regionally include over 100km of pistes for ski and snowboard enthusiasts – with the largest snow tubing park in Europe and Youth Winter Olympic Freestyle Park 2020. There is also hiking, rock climbing, cycling, sailing, paddle boarding and scuba diving throughout the year.

Wider facilities that pupils may take advantage of include: The World Cycling Centre with pump tracks, indoor tracks and an international training centre; and regular fitness facilities from squash courts and climbing walls to an Olympic sized swimming pool.

Mrs Carlien Shelley is the Headmistess at MCS who has a wealth of experience from her time employed at a number of other international schools. Together with her team and in collaboration with Malvern College International, she delivers an education that is quite unique to the independent school market.
